About Outage Observer

A calm pane of glass for the services your product runs on, and a ping the moment one of them breaks.

The idea

Modern software leans on dozens of providers: cloud, AI, payments, auth, CDNs. Each publishes its own status page, and nobody has time to keep 151 tabs open. Outage Observer watches them all in one place, lets you pick the handful you actually depend on, and tells you the instant one changes state. It stays quiet the rest of the time.

How it's built

One small service checks each provider's official status source every minute and reacts only to real changes. Failed checks keep the last known status rather than inventing a scare, so it never cries wolf. It's free, needs no account, and stores your chosen services on your own device. The whole thing runs at the edge.

How we're different

Outage Observer is free, needs no account, and reads only providers' official status feeds, so it never invents an outage or sends a false alarm. It isn't an uptime monitor for your own site and it doesn't host your status page; it does one thing and tells you wherever you already are. See how it compares to the closest tools.

Who makes it

Outage Observer is built by Dusk Research. The source is on GitHub.
