Outage Observer for Mac

A native menu-bar app. A quiet reticle that glows when something you watch has trouble, and a notification the moment it does.

What it does

  • Lives in your menu bar. A reticle that's black or white to match your bar, with a colored pupil when a service you watch needs attention.
  • Notifies you instantly. A native notification (with a tasteful sound) the moment a watched service changes state, and silence otherwise.
  • Your board, one click away. Click the icon to see the services you watch, problems pinned to the top.
  • Private and native. No account, no tracking; it just reads the public status feed. Light or dark, follows your Mac.

Installing

Open the downloaded DMG and drag Outage Observer to Applications. It's a notarized Developer ID build, so it opens without any warning. A Mac App Store release is on the way; older builds are on GitHub releases.
